Tuesday tip by Pysselgalen

Hi all!!
Another tuesday, another tip! :) This time I thought I'd show you how to make a tri-shutterfold.
So here we go, pictures first and the explanation underneath. The dimensions will be in cm and not inches.

First start with a cardstock that is 30cm x 14cm.

Score it at 5,10,20 and 25cm's along the long side

Turn the paper to the short side. Measure 4cm in from each side and make two cuts or if in doubt you can score it first and then cut it. The cuts should be between the 5cm and 25cm scoreline which would leave 5cm on each end uncut(see below)

There is no easy way to describe the mountain and valley fold so above is a picture on how to fold the card

Cut out of cardstock 2 pieces that are 4.5cm x 13.5 cm , 2 pieces that are 3.5cm x 9.5cm, then four pieces that are 4.5cm x 3.5cm and 1 piece that is 4.5 x 5.5cm. Then out of design paper two pieces that are 4cm x 13cm, two that are 3cm x 9cm, four that are 4cm x 3 cm and 1 that is 4cm x 5cm. The reason why I use so many layers of paper is because it looks nice when you have an edge of card stock around the design paper and it gives the card a bit of stability

Place doublesided tape on the design paper pieces and tape them to the matching cardstock pieces.Place doublesided tape on the cardstock pieces.

Do not forget if you want a ribbon on one of your pieces it should be done now before attatching them to the card base. This means that you do not see the ribbon edges on the card.

Now place the pieces onto the card base.Check their placings before sticking to the card.
Choose a stamp or motif of some kind (here I chose seahorse/dragon). Place this on the small section which is blank.

Then it is done and hopefully should look something like this.

Lots of love
